Learn about Bio-Concepts extraordinary face mask story

The onset of Covid caught everyone off guard. Orders for compression garments dwindled as hospitals transitioned rehab to virtual visits and limited access because of high Covid numbers being hospitalized.

Bio-Concepts needed to be part of the fight against the pandemic. We could have sent our people home, but we didn’t want to disperse the team that we have built for many years. We researched and found a fabric that met our needs. We purchased Bio-Smart fabric® from Milliken, a versatile textile company we know from burn and wound care products. This fabric can hold onto bleach and remains anti-microbial for up to seventy-five launderings with bleach.

We made and donated over 10,000 face masks to hospitals, nursing homes, schools, police and fire departments and individual patients. We believe we have helped in some small way. Covid is here to stay. We will continue to make masks as long as they are needed.
